1. Introduction

1、 Purpose:

At the same time, the tensile strength can also be tested and the test values can be directly displayed.

2、 Principle:

The corrugated cardboard ring compression testing machine is an electronic display ring compression/tensile testing machine, which uses a motor to drive a screw to move the fixture. The test fixture is placed between the upper and lower fixtures, and then a specified speed is applied. When the upper fixture compresses the sample downwards, the load element at the upper end of the upper fixture feels the pressure; The tensile test involves the upper fixture moving upwards and the lower fixture moving downwards. The fixture also senses pressure and converts the force into a voltage signal, which is then transmitted to the display. The result is automatically displayed on the display when connected to a LOAD CELL force sensor.

3、 Instrument Description

  1. Zero setting: used to clear the test results on the display and save the test values, in order to facilitate entering the next test and saving the test results.
  2. Peak value: Pressing the peak value before testing can retain the maximum value, otherwise it cannot be retained. Note: When conducting stacking tests, peak values cannot be used.
  3. Function: Used to adjust date, time, set value, and stacking settings. After testing, press this key twice to save data for easy printing
  4. Unit conversion: Convert force units to KG, LB, N。 Three options can be chosen freely. If the test result is 100KG, clicking this button will automatically convert it to LB or N
  5. Testing: Pressing this button before conducting the test is the testing speed.
  6. Rise, fall, stop: After turning on the power, the stop button light will turn on. Press the rise or fall button to start the motor and enter the test.
  7. Print: Press this button to print and retain data. Note: Stacking test values cannot be printed.

4Normal display operation

AInstrument startup and shutdown: After the instrument is powered on, it is turned on; Disconnect the power and turn off the instrument panel.

BPeel and reset: Press the reset button to clear the data, set the display value to zero, and the zero point light will turn on.

CUnit conversion: Press the unit conversion key to convert kg, Lb, and N units.

5Test mode:

AManual point taking: In weighing mode, press the peak button, the instrument indicator light will light up, and manual point taking will be performed. Take an additional 12 points; In manual sampling mode, during the testing process, press the print button to perform manual sampling, and click the indicator light to flash once.

BView peak values and storage records: After the test is completed, lock the peak values; Press the function key to view peak values and various storage records.

CExit testing mode: During or after the testing process, press the reset button to exit testing mode and enter weighing mode.

6Printing

After the test is completed, press the function key to save the test data, and then press the print key to print out all stored record values. Note: If you want to delete a record, press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds, and the saved record will be deleted.

7Abnormal display

AWhen displayed: [OF], Indicates weighing>100% F.S+9d.

BWhen displayed: [Err1], Indicates that the internal code is too large.

CWhen displayed: [Err2], Indicates that the inner code is too small.

IV. Instrument Installation

1、 Power supply conditions for corrugated cardboard ring pressure testing machine: Please configure the correct power supply according to the label on the machine.

The input voltage error range is within+10% and the instrument is properly grounded to prevent damage caused by instrument leakage.

2、 Operating environment requirements: Room temperature conditions.

3、 This instrument needs to be installed and positioned on a horizontal ground.

V. Test Specifications

1、 Operating instructions:

1.The machine must be connected to a 220V+5% 50Hz power supply and have good grounding protection measures.

2.After turning on the power switch on the panel, the panel will be powered on and the monitor will automatically open the program.

3.Confirm whether the travel protection device of the machine is effective and reasonable.

4.Place the test specimen in the middle of the fixture, select the diameter of the inner disc according to the thickness of the specimen, and place it on the specimen seat (the inner disc indicates the suitable thickness of the specimen in mm). Carefully insert the specimen into the specimen seat and ensure that it is inserted to the bottom as follows. Press the test key and the up or down key to start the test.

5.It is strictly prohibited to have direct contact between the upper and lower fixtures, or to test with metal specimens.

6.During the testing process, if there are any abnormal conditions, press the stop button, turn off the power, and immediately notify the maintenance personnel for inspection. It can only be used after troubleshooting.

7.After receiving the display signal, the printer can press the print button to print the current date, time, number of times, and maximum pressure value. (For detailed operation, please refer to monitor operation and printer operation)

8.The monitor receives the signal from the pressure sensor on the top of the pressure plate and displays the highest pressure value at that time. Press the reset button to clear the numbers on the display. Press the peak button to record the maximum value of the test during testing.

threeDetermination of results of corrugated cardboard ring compression testing machine:

In the formula: R - edge compression strength unit N/m;

F- The sample is subjected to the maximum pressure N;

L- The length dimension of the sample is mm.

The unit of edge compression strength is N/m, while the length of the specimen is 100mm, which requires data processing. Firstly, convert 100mm to 0.1m and calculate according to the above formula. Assuming that the arithmetic mean of the maximum pressure borne by the sample during the test is 680N, after data processing, it is:

680N/0.1m=6800N/m

So, according to the above formula, the edge compression strength value of the sample is:

6.80×103N/m

The production process of corrugated cardboard, as well as factors such as the structure, shape, and quality of adhesive, can all affect the edge compression strength of corrugated cardboard.
